venetian murano glass rings - solid glass dome rings with metallic accents


These dome rings are absolutely gorgeous and are some of my all-time favourites. They are clear, solid glass with a backdrop of colour and a speckling of gold (Arianna) or silver (Eva) foil (the shape and pattern vary in each ring; please treat the photos as samples). Some of the silver can have a slightly golden tint. The dome design is reminiscent of the famous Lalique crystal rings! Note: the gold will show up darker when worn on the hand. Important note about Murano sizing: sizes are approximate to about half a size, but the size listed is the minimum. For instance, size 7 could actually be 7, 7¼ or 7½, but not 6½. Please choose your size accordingly and do not try to squeeze into a too-small size. Because they're handmade, not machine-cut, they are not perfect mathematical circles in the center and thus cannot be measured by conventional methods.

About Murano Glass

Murano glass rings come from Murano, Italy, part of the Venetian islands. The region is world-famous for its beautiful glass art. In 1291, due to the fire risk from glass furnaces, all Venetian glass-makers were forced to move to the Murano islands; there, they remained isolated for centuries in order to safeguard their special technique from others. Lucky for us, the tradition lives on today.
