Ring-Free Thursday: Hong Kong's Polyhedron.
Instant mood-makers by Italy-based Brazilian jeweller Claudia Cucchi.
In a reversal of the traditional ring, these rings focus all the reds, yellows and blues (and shades in between) solely on the band. The only spot without colour is the "gem" a silver dot. For more, check out the "COLOURFOOL" collection by Germany's bKING Design (Bernadett King).
Minimalism with a bit of graphic punch from Spain's Elena Llargués.
I love the "meticulously crafted, easily worn" chain jewellery from Italy's Elena Lara (particularly the earrings, so go check them out!). Shown above are the "Rothko" and "Cross" rings.
Ring-Free Thursday: Spain's Yaiza Rodriguez.
If you think these rings are architectural...
...you should see the construction beam-inspired brooches. All work above by Japan's Kou Shimizu.
Soft-looking "Holi" rings made of embroidery thread, from Spain's Maria Barcelo.
UK-based Lareina Zhang explores order and precision in these gold-plated copper rings (and brooches).
From the "All is Vanity" series by Czech jeweller Adéla Schicker, these rings are "held together only by soap sheets" and designed to disintegrate.
Ring-Free Thursday: Australia's Teegan Horat.
Rings in cast metal and glass by Japan's Akane Sodani.
Portugal's Lago Clay (Patrícia Lago).
Vibrantly sculptural rings from Czech jeweller Martin Grosman, who's known for his work with crystals.
A new dawn, a new day, a new era a ring to remind you of what's yet to come. This "Optimism" ring, also shown with "Truth," "Wisdom" and "Karma," is from the Talisman series by L.A.-based Retrouvaí (Kirsty Stone).
Ring-Free Thursday: Turkey's Isuwa Atelier (Didem & Snem Yildirim).
Ring from the "Self Reflection" series by Taiwan's Molly Wu, who puts "little hidden messages in the reflection of the jewellery, only visible to the wearer when worn."
Rings made from liquid Limoges porcelain, with gold, platinum and lusters, by Romanian ceramicist Ceramica de Soare (Narcisa Soare).
Friendly felines by Chile's Mestiza. Check out her other critters, too, from whales to dinosaurs.
I don't know if Mexico's Alberto Dávila is prone to exaggeration, but his rings certainly are to great effect.
Ring-Free Thursday: Poland's Klaudia Kaczmarek.
I love the colours on these rings, which are a collaboration between two Croatian artists: Ayelen (Martina Tompić), who did the metalwork, and Marinski Heartmades (Marina Marinski), who made the ceramic "cabs" (and also makes some gorgeous cups that are now on my wishlist).
