Ring-Free Thursday: since I only mentioned this person in passing one time seven years ago when she had a different website, I'm making an exception and posting her again today — especially since I had the pleasure of viewing her work in person during a recent trip to Seattle. Hers were among my favourite pieces on display at Facèré Gallery, a small, wondrous space packed with artistic contemporary jewellery (a lot of which I've admired here before, which only added to the thrill). That's enough ado, so without any further, here's Texas artist Kat Cole.

"Illusion" rings by Georgia-based Qiuting Wang, inspired by city gardening! She writes, "With organic form breaking through the geometric structure, the work alludes to new growth extending from the body. The fabric acts as a casing but allows the viewer to see the seeds inside. From the outside there is order, but the interior shows difference in the same way personalities shine in an orderly city."
