Murano Glass Rings - "Monet" & "Caleida"
      These playful glass rings are spotted with bits of colour, like an impressionist painting! Monet is a dome ring with white under a layer of clear and Caleida is a clear, tapered band with silver foil. Some of the silver has a golden tint (see photo #3, second row). There is only one of each; you will receive the ring in the photo. About Murano Glass: these solid glass rings come from Murano, Italy, a group of islands world-famous for their beautiful glass art. In 1291, due to the fire risk from glass furnaces, all Venetian glass- makers were forced to move to the Murano islands; there, they remained isolated for centuries in order to safeguard their special technique from others. Lucky for us, the tradition lives on today! | |
