Murano Glass Rings with Gold/Copper
   The "Arianna" rings are absolutely gorgeous and are some of my all-time favourites. They are clear glass domes with a backdrop of transparent colour and a speckling of gold foil (the shape and pattern vary in each ring; please treat the photos as samples). The dome design is reminiscent of the famous Lalique crystal rings! Remember: the gold will show up darker when worn on the hand.    The "Marquesa" is spotted with sparkly goldstone, a special glass that contains copper and which is slightly more bronze than gold in colour. (It is also normal for there to be an occasional off- white speckle here and there.) Note: the goldstone pattern will vary from ring to ring; please treat the photos as samples. About Murano Glass: these solid glass rings come from Murano, Italy, a group of islands world-famous for their beautiful glass art. In 1291, due to the fire risk from glass furnaces, all Venetian glass- makers were forced to move to the Murano islands; there, they remained isolated for centuries in order to safeguard their special technique from others.
