Murano Glass Rings - "Aurora"
These gorgeous solid glass rings come from Murano, a group of Italian islands world-famous for their beautiful glass art. Glassmaking began there in the 8th century; by the 13th century, Murano artisans were virtually isolated on the islands to safeguard their special technique from others!

   These rings feature gorgeous bands of transparent colour! Some include a strip of goldstone (see first photo, above), a sparkly glass that contains copper and which is more bronze than gold in colour. Most are about 3/4" to 1" tall, though there can be some variation. Each is one-of-a-kind! Listed in order from smallest to largest. |
