Handmade Lampwork Glass Rings
Welcome to glassfiction, my own collection of glass rings! Every ring is designed and handmade by me, one at a time. I work with both Italian (the same used in Murano rings) and German glass and love spending hours sitting at the torch, melting bits of colour and forming new shapes. For more information, please scroll down. New styles added constantly!
![]() ![]() | It's nice to always have a loyal friend on hand! Buddy is a perfect companion, always at attention with one ear bent. Most are about 1.5cm across the face. These puppies have a little tail on the back, as shown here in the second photo. |

![]() ![]() | Like the ancient Greek goddess, the "Artemis" rings are armed with arrows :) There may be some clear streaks in the white glass. Each ring is unique but most are about 1/2" tall. The rings below have black and yellow dots. |

![]() ![]() | Ironically, Hoppy doesn't hop at all. Because he has no legs. He just sits obediently on your finger, on your desk or wherever you place him. Because he has no legs. He does, however, have a little bunnytail. More coming! |
![]() | I update this page whenever I have some studio time to work on rings. Please check back for more :) |

More Details
- I'm sorry but, due to sizing issues (see below) and limited studio time, currently, I cannot take custom orders. I hope to someday!
- All rings are properly kiln-annealed for strength.
- There may be traces of "bead release" inside the band; bead release is a special clay mixture that's used to prevent the glass from sticking to the metal mandrel when I'm making the ring.
- The size range I can offer is limited by the mandrel sizes I have. Also, the size of the ring depends not just on what mandrel I used but how thick the protective clay coating happened to be (that part is unpredictable, which is why I can't do custom orders at the moment).
- Please remember to be careful with these rings as they are glass and glass is delicate! I recommend removing them before washing hands or engaging in any activity where they might bang against other hard objects. Remember that glass is sensitive to temperature change.
- Please do not attempt to squeeze into a size too small; dealing with broken glass can be unsafe.
