I just love the muted colours and not-quite-perfect shapes in these rings from the "Sapphire" collection at seaglass.co.uk! Seaglass is set in hand-forged silver; 18k gold also available. Starts at £60. [Thanks, Anissa, for the link!]
If you're in Toronto sometime between now and February 6, 2005, visit the Design Exchange for an exhibit called Plastic. According to the website, "PLASTIC is an all-new multidisciplinary exhibit that takes a look at the world of plastic and how it has influenced design professionals, business and consumers." Too bad I'm several provinces away in Vancouver! [Thanks to reader Carla for the info.]
This ring makes a bold statement, at a bold price! Silver-lined, hand-carved ebony is topped with coral. It'll set you back a whopping US$2,995 at Vivre.
In other, sadder news, on Thursday night I somehow lost my ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE RING OF ALL TIME! :( I'm heart-broken! It was a faceted green glass dome that I wore all the time. I'm sure it slipped off my hand at some point, though how I could NOT notice that is beyond me! If you ever come across any ring that fits this description, please let me know. I'm desperate!
I'm more of a silver than gold girl, myself, but this golden darling by designer Tiffini Dooris looks so perfect with peridot, I can't even imagine it in silver (though both options are available). The 14k goes for US$210 at styleshowcase.com.
